We have had a wonderful few days at the London Book Fair, attending fascinating seminar sessions and meeting some marvellous people at our table in the International Rights Centre and around the Fair. London Book Fair truly is a global marketplace for storytellers and a hub of the publishing world.
Some of the events the ILP team attended on Tuesday included:
An enlightening keynote interview tackling some of the biggest issues facing the industry, with Brian Murray, CEO of HarperCollins Publishers, chaired by David Roche, Chair of the London Book Fair.
A captivating dive into the latest work of the London Book Fair Author of the Day, Colson Whitehead, chaired by Colin Grant, Royal Literary Fund.
And an invigorating panel discussion about how books have become a key focus for streamers and broadcasters, chaired by Emily Hayward-Whitlock from The Artists Partnership, with panellists Hannah Griffiths from All3Media, Prof. Hannah Greig from Royal Holloway, University of London, Danny West from Kudos Film and Television, and Sophie Kaplan from Universal Studio Group.
We’re already looking forward to 2024!
