John Creasey, MBE, (1908-1973) was a prolific, best-selling English writer who wrote detective fiction, crime fiction, espionage, thriller, science fiction, romance and even westerns. Over his long career, Creasey wrote over six hundred novels under twenty-eight different pen names. His work has sold over 80 million copies in more than 25 languages and is an established tool for learning the English language, especially in Europe and Asia.
We are proud supporters of the Crime Writers’ Association (CWA) and are sponsoring the 2023 ILP John Creasey (New Blood) Dagger. The Crime Writers’ Association Daggers were established in 1955 to celebrate the very best in crime writing, and The ILP John Creasey (New Blood) Dagger is awarded in memory of the celebrated writer and founder of the CWA, John Creasey. The winner will be announced at the CWA Daggers Awards Dinner on 6th July 2023 in London.
